How do I take control of the content of my listing?

If you see that your business has already been listed on Hunt Critic, it was either done by Hunt Critic, or by a consumer.  If you would like to take ownership of the page, simply click the “Do you own this business?” link at the top right of the listing.  Follow the instructions from there.  You will have to be authenticated as the owner.

Does it cost anything to list my business?

No, there is no cost associated with our listings.

How do I get my listing to show up in searches?

To get your listing to show up in more searches, the description in your listing needs to be more robust.  Describe the location of the hunt, as well as the species available.  For example, instead of saying “We offer deer hunts in Texas,” it is more descriptive to say “We offer trophy whitetail deer and hog hunting in the Hill Country of Central Texas. ”  The more detailed and specific the description, the more searchable it is.  If your business has a description on your website, that is usually a good place to start.

I am both a taxidermist and a game processor, which do I put my business under?

Luckily, we have a listing where you will show up on both.  When choosing your listing, there is a combo taxidermist/game processor listing.

What should I put in the listing description?

You should put a description of your business, and the services you offer.  This would be a good place to put your pricing as well.

I don’t want to put the exact address of my ranch, what should I do?

You are not required to list the exact address of your ranch, however, we would like for you to list either the nearest town, or at a minimum what county your ranch is in.  You can even enter GPS coordinates of a nearby highway or intersection.
